Church History
In November 2004, a small group of dedicated believers gathered under the leadership of Rev. Earlie Dixon, to establish a Non-Traditional, Non-Judgmental, and a Practical Church for the Unchurched. With a small group of 8 Charter members, a generous donation of a dear friend of the ministry, with much diligent prayer, and faith God's vision for New Birth Worship Center took shape and had their first public service on February 5, 2005. Rev. Earlie Dixon and his wife, gospel recording artist First Lady Lutrille Dixon, established New Birth Worship Center at 403 West 22nd Street in Anderson, Indiana. On March 9, 2005, Rev. Earlie Dixon was ordained and installed. This non-denominational church was a labor of love for Pastor Dixon, a former contractor and carpenter who fully renovated the building. As a trailblazer, community leader, and activist, Pastor Dixon focused on community engagement and outreach throughout his ministry. He is a graduate of Akron University, where he was a basketball athlete with an academic focus in Criminal Justice.
In 2010, Pastor Dixon envisioned a community center in Anderson. Inspired by the Excel Center in Indianapolis, he became the Co-Founder of what is now known as the Impact Center in Anderson. His innovation and legacy will always be remembered, even after his departure in early 2020.
When the COVID-19 pandemic led to lockdowns and service restrictions in the spring of 2020, many churches closed their doors. However, New Birth persevered through the heartache and pain of the stain COVID left, but continued to be blessed. By 2022, the church was in full stride, shifting to an "Hour of Power" worship service and a weekly "Daily Bread" to meet the temporal ministry needs of members and newcomers, with plans for expanded services and ministries.
In 2023, Pastor Dixon with prayer sought the Lord for a helper. A man of God to pass the baton to and take the church to new heights. He expressed, "I was looking for someone who was self-sufficient, one with a fresh perspective on the three lost generations of this time while reaching that younger generation, and one who could meet the demands of modern technology that could help streamline the church and ministry for physical and Spiritual growth."
Two years later, after 21 years of faithful service, Pastor Dixon steps alongside Rev. W. F. Rayford Jr., his spiritual son in the Gospel. In the summer of 2025 the search was over and the prayers were answered, with praise from the congregation Pastor Dixon hand chose Rev. Rayford to be his successor, the next Senior Pastor/ CEO of New Birth Worship Center with a Pastor Installation to come after the first of the year 2026. Pastor Dixon will transitionally pass the mantle upon the completion of his succession planning with Pastor Rayford and step down from head leadership to Pastor Emeritus (An honorary title meaning "earned one's discharge") where he set his sights on retirement with his beloved wife, Lady Lutrille Dixon of 40 years on Sunday, August 16, 2026. Pastor Dixon with great joy in his spirit decided to continue to serve here at New Birth. He will be serving in Pastoral care and his wife as Mother of the church as their passion aligns with the continual desire to still be members and serve in the ministry of the church "Loyal to God and their church family".
Pastor Rayford, an Anderson native a passionate and seasoned pastor with great travail has over 20+ years in ministry.
Alongside Pastor Rayford is his wife of over 17 years, Sis. Talisha D. Rayford, also indigenous to Anderson, IN. Both grew up in this very neighborhood they will now be serving in with their five children together: Kendra (16), Kyera (15), Kederick (14), Kamari (11), and Korbin (8).
This next phase in their journey is truly exciting, and we are looking forward to what God has in store for New Birth. This ministry will soar far!

Church Services
& Times
Our church is a community of believers, not just a building. But dedicated to worship, fellowship, and service. It's a place where people grow in their faith, connect with others, and reach out to the community with compassion and the message of the gospel.
The Church as a Community:
- The church is a group of people who gather to worship God, learn from the Bible, and support one another in their faith journeys.
- It's a place where believers can find belonging, encouragement, and opportunities to serve.
- This community is not limited to a specific building or people; it extends beyond our four walls to all those who share in faith and fellowship.
Five Core Functions of the Church/
Assimilation Ministry:
Romans 15:7, "Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God."
The word "assimilate means " to absorb believers into the main body and fabric of the church.
Assimilation ministry, refers to the process of helping new members integrate and become active participants in the church community. It's more than just welcoming visitors; it's about fostering a sense of belonging and connection, ensuring they feel valued, and helping them find their place within the church's life and ministry.
